Why Homeschool?
There are numerous advantages to
homeschooling.
The overriding goal of homeschooling, as
with public schools, is to educate children. The
difference here is that the teacher-to-student
ratio is 1:1 rather than 1:30., making it far
easier to tailor that learning to the child's
needs and interests, and who is more
dedicated to ensuring a child's education and
success than their parent? Add to this that
because a home schooled child's education is
managed by the same person over a long
period of time, that education can be
consistent with a long-term plan in which each
topic taught.

All of this means that if a child excels in a specific area, his education in that area can be accelerated, but if a child struggles in a particular area, additional resources can be brought in to help. The topics and activities can be directed at an area that interests the child, creating an environment where they WANT to learn. The way children are taught can be based on how the child best learns, for example, if a child is a visual learner, more visual elements can be incorporated into that child's instruction.
Home school provides the opportunity for a child's education to be designed just for that child.
