Day 14: Write a Christmas Poem

Poetry is a magical way to capture Christmas feelings. Today we’ll try an acrostic poem, using the word CHRISTMAS.

✂️ What You’ll Need:

  • Paper or card

  • Pencils, pens, or crayons

  • Optional: stickers or drawings for decoration

📝 Instructions:

1. Write the word CHRISTMAS down the left-hand side of the paper.

2. For each letter, think of a word or sentence about Christmas. For example:

C – Candy canes are sweet to eat

H – Holly grows with berries red

R – Reindeer race across the sky

3. Encourage children to think of their own ideas.

4. Decorate the page with festive drawings.

🌟 Extra Idea:

Read the poem aloud at dinnertime to share with the whole family.

Tomorrow you’ll need:

Coloured paper, scissors, glue, pencils, string, and (optional) battery tea lights.
