Day 17: Festive Painting

Painting is a wonderful way for children to explore creativity. Today we’ll make festive artwork, from holly leaves to Christmas trees.

✂️ What You’ll Need:

  • Paper or card

  • Poster paints or finger paints

  • Paintbrushes or sponges

  • Table covering and aprons

  • Optional: glitter for finishing touches

📝 Instructions:

1. Cover the table and set out paints.

2. Encourage children to paint festive images like trees, holly, stars, or snowmen.

3. Experiment with sponge prints or finger painting for texture.

4. Leave to dry, then add glitter if you wish.

5. Display proudly on the wall or fridge.

🌟 Extra Idea:

Turn the paintings into wrapping paper by using large sheets of paper.

Tomorrow you’ll need:

Cardboard tubes, wrapping paper or coloured paper, ribbon, small jokes or treats.
