Day 2: Decorate a Christmas Tree Picture

Nothing says Christmas like a beautifully decorated tree! Today’s activity is a creative one – children will get the chance to design and decorate their very own Christmas tree picture.

✂️ What You’ll Need:

  • A piece of paper with a Christmas tree outline (you can draw one or print a template)

  • Colouring pencils, crayons, or felt-tips

  • Stickers, sequins, or buttons (for baubles)

  • Glitter and glue (optional for sparkle)

  • Cotton wool (optional for snow effect)

📝 Instructions:

1. Start with your tree outline – big, small, or even a forest of trees if you like!

2. Colour in the tree using pencils, crayons, or felt-tips.

3. Decorate the branches with baubles, tinsel, and stars. You can use stickers, sequins, or even tiny cut-out shapes.

4. Add glue and sprinkle glitter for a magical sparkle.

5. Glue on a cotton wool ground for a snowy effect, and don’t forget the star on top of the tree!

🌟 Extra Idea:

Turn your decorated trees into Christmas cards by folding a piece of card in half and gluing the tree picture to the front. Perfect for grandparents, friends, or neighbours.

Tomorrow you’ll need:

Plain biscuit recipe or dough, cutters, rolling pin, baking tray, icing pens or sprinkles.
