Day 4: Write a Letter to Father Christmas
It’s time to get writing! Today we’ll write (or draw) a special letter to Father Christmas. This helps children practise their writing skills and gives them the excitement of sharing their Christmas wishes.
✂️ What You’ll Need:
Sheets of paper or Christmas-themed writing paper
Envelopes
Pencils, pens, or crayons
Stickers or Christmas stamps (for decoration)
A special envelope addressed to Father Christmas
📝 Instructions:
1. Start by helping your child think about what they’d like for Christmas. Encourage them to write a list or draw pictures.
2. Begin the letter with “Dear Father Christmas,” and let them write (or dictate) their wishes.
3. Add kind words too – maybe a thank you for last year’s gifts!
4. Decorate the letter with drawings or stickers to make it festive.
5. Place the letter into an envelope and address it to:
Father Christmas, Santa’s Grotto, Reindeerland, XM4 5HQ.
🌟 Extra Idea:
Keep a copy of the letter as a keepsake – children love to read their old letters when they’re older!
Tomorrow you’ll need:
White paper, scissors, glue, string or thread, glitter (optional).
