Day 6: Christmas Story Time

There’s nothing better than snuggling up with a cosy Christmas story. Today’s activity is about sharing a festive tale together. Reading aloud builds language skills, sparks imagination, and helps children feel the magic of Christmas.

✂️ What You’ll Need:

  • A Christmas storybook (for example The Snowman, Stick Man, or The Night Before Christmas)

  • A comfy blanket or cushion corner

  • A mug of hot chocolate (optional, but lovely!)

📝 Instructions:

1. Choose your Christmas story.

2. Create a cosy space with blankets, cushions, and maybe twinkly lights.

3. Read the story aloud, using expression and different voices for the characters.

4. Pause to ask questions: “What do you think will happen next?” or “How do you think this character feels?”

5. After reading, talk about your favourite part of the story.

🌟 Extra Idea:

Children can draw a picture of their favourite scene from the story afterwards.

Tomorrow you’ll need:

Blank cards or paper, crayons/felt-tips, glue, glitter, stickers.
